DAY 01 \u2013 BENTOTA \u2013 UDAWALAWE SAFARI \u2013 ELLA<\/h3>\n

After breakfast commence a Jeep Safari in Udawalawe National Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Udawalawe National Park<\/strong> lies on the boundary of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka. The
\nnational park was created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the
\nUdawalawe reservoir on the Walawe River, as well as to protect the catchment of the reservoir. The reserve covers
\n30,821 hectares of land area and was established on 30 June 1972. The park is 165 kilometers from
\nColombo. Udawalawe is an important habitat for water birds and Sri Lankan Elephants. It is a popular
\ntourist destination and the third most visited park in the country.<\/p>\n

After Jeep Safari leaves for Ella.<\/strong><\/p>\n

DAY 02 \u2013 ELLA \u2013 NUWARA ELIYA – KANDY \u2013 BENTOTA<\/h3>\n

After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya<\/strong><\/p>\n

En route Visit a Tea Plantation & Factory. Sight walk to the city area. Nuwara Eliya \u2013
\n180 km\u2019s from Colombo, 6200ft. above sea level. In 1826 some British Officers 1828 a road constructed
\nover the ridge at Ramboda Pass and a station for convalescent Soldiers was established was Sir Samuel
\nBaker who fell under the spell of Nuwara Eliya, brought hounds, horses, cattle, sheep, etc., and started a
\ntypical English farm here.Flowers and vegetables were brought from England and planted.<\/p>\n

After Nuwara Eliya visit Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya.<\/strong> The Royal Botanical Gardens \u2013 147 acres in extent;
\nStarted in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of trees and plants.
\nSome rare and endemics as well as flora from the tropical World. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with
\ntourists
\nIn the afternoon commence city tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and the<\/p>\n

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.<\/strong>
\nKandy,<\/strong> the last stronghold of the Sinhalese Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the
\nBuddhism\u2019s influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple\u2019s shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are
\neverywhere. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha\u2019s Tooth was brought to
\nSri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orisons princess\u2019 hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri
\nLanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka\u2019s most prized possession. Temple of the Sacred
\nTooth Relic had been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO.<\/p>\n
